Come Train with Us

Here at Fleet Feet Runer's Spot, we are excited to introduce our personalized training programs! Whether you are new to running or have tracked more miles in your running shoes than in your car, we are dedicated to helping you reach your goals by providing a comprehensive training program and personal coach that will guide you every step of the way.


What to Expect

  • Introductory E-mail - You will receive an introductory e-mail from your coach within 48 hours of your sign-up. This e-mail will give you general information about the program, an outline of the program, and some informational tips about preparation for your program start.
  • Sunday prior to starting date - You and your coach will schedule an in-person, Skype session, or telephone call to get your week started. They will give you all of the documents that you need including your weekly training plan with targets for each daily workout.
  • Monday Day 1 - You will begin your training as discussed with your coach the day prior
  • Tuesday Day 2 - You will visit Fleet Feet Runner's Spot for a complimentary Gait Analysis. A trained staff member will evaluate your running form and gear and make any appropriate recommendations to ensure that you get the most out of your training and continue to run injury free.
  • Tuesdays at the Track! - The remaining Tuesdays will be held at the track. Here we will focus on strength exercises and speed work. Even if your goal is not to become a super fast runner, strength work and speed work are essential to run injury free and improve your skills.
  • Wednesday through Friday - You training will continue based on your calendar given to you by your coach.
  • Saturday - Group training session. These sessions will rotate throughout the area to different interesting running locations and will usually be held in the A.M. Examples would be a Smith Lake Trail Run, Downtown City Run, and Outskirts Country Run. Saturdays will be higher mileage days.
  • Sunday - Recovery day and weekly conversation with your coach. You will review weekly activities, ask questions, and get answers to your weekly routine.

Russell’s favorite aspect of coaching is being able to work with runners of all ability levels across multiple distances. His experience includes all race types and distances from the road to trail and 5k to 60-mile distances.

 Mary Dudley Tramazzo (Bertram) is an Army wife, mother of two, and an avid distance runner. She began running in high school at Cannon   School in Concord, NC and competed collegiately in track and cross country for the University of Richmond. Post-collegiately, she has   focused on longer distances with an ultimate goal of qualifying for the marathon Olympic trials.

No Boundaries 5K Training

Program Start: Upon Signing Up
Program Schedule: 8 Week Program
Program Fee: $75
Description: NO BOUNDARIES® is for beginner walkers and runners looking to change their life through fitness. This is a beginners program that offers intermediate drills for runners and walkers alike. Join us as you make the step to change your life. Let us help you learn the benefits of an active lifestyle. Along the way, we will help with flexibility, endurance and proper nutrition.Over the course of 8 weeks, you'll learn running basics and, with the help of our experienced coaches and motivational mentors, train to complete a 5K. The program includes two workouts per week, as well as seminars on important topics like nutrition, injury prevention, cross-training. This is a great way to meet new running buddies, discover parks and trails in the Fayetteville area, and increase your fitness level! The Program meets twice a week during the training period, once on a weeknight/afternoon and once on Saturday mornings. The workouts will last about an hour to an hour and a half as we increase mileage throughout the season.

10K Training

Program Start: Upon Signing Up
Program Schedule: 8 Week Program
Program Fee: $75
Description: The 10K Training Program is designed to further runners and walkers towards their fitness and running goals. It will include an education on and the pursuit of different training techniques and tools in order to further enjoy running and improve their performance. There are occasional clinics covering a wide range of topical issues on running, health, wellness and nutrition from the area’s leading experts. The workouts will last about an hour to an hour and a half as we increase mileage throughout the season. This training program meets twice a week. One track workout and a Saturday morning long run. In addition to the workouts, there are educational clinics, motivational speakers, newsletters keeping you up to date, access to the area’s top physical therapists, and expert coaching/ mentoring to help inspire and motivate you on this journey!

Half Marathon Training

Program Schedule: 10 Week Program
Program Fee: $100
Description: The 2018 Half and Full Marathon Training Program is a 10-week program which meets up to three times a week designated to prepare runners and walkers for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. This program will educate on endurance training principles, hydration and nutrition techniques, body awareness, pacing and running autonomy. This 2018 season will be geared towards our coaches helping you train for any race you choose!

Marathon Training

Program Start: Upon Signing Up
Program Schedule: 12 Week Program
Program Fee: $125
Description: The 2018 Half and Full Marathon Training Program is a 12-week program which meets two times a week designated to prepare runners and walkers for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. Participants will meet once for a trackwork and then on Saturday for a group long run. This program will educate on endurance training principles, hydration and nutrition techniques, body awareness, pacing and running autonomy. This 2018 season will be geared towards our coaches helping you train for any race you choose!

Military Two Mile Training Program

Program Start: May 7th, 2018
Program Fee: $60
Description: Are you a military service member looking to improve your runtime? Our coaches will meet with you twice a week, and create a training plan for you in this 8 week training program. Mini Milers

Program Start: June 4th, 2018
Program Schedule: Monday Evenings at 6:00 pm at Reid Ross track
Goal Race: Firecracker 1 Mile Run
Program Fee: $10
Description: The goal of Mini Milers is to promote the activity of running through fun, dynamic running-related games and exercises. We want to help your children increase their respective levels of endurance by working up to a consistent regimen of running by the end of the program. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate with their children. This is a 4-week program that will be held on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm at Reid Ross track. Each class will last 60 minutes and hydration will be provided. Break Through Physical Therapy will be partnering with Fleet Feet Sports to make this event a success. This is a fun healthy activity for the kids in our community to get them moving and perhaps inspire them to participate in one of the many kids dashes or 5K races offered around their community. Each practice will last an hour and will include stretching, running drills on the Reid Ross Track, cool down.
