EQUIPMENT:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Lightly salt and pepper chicken tenders.
  2. Weave chicken tenders onto bamboo skewers – one chicken tender per each skewer.
  3. Wrap one slice of bacon around each chicken tender in a spiral pattern, surrounding the entire piece of chicken.
  4. Brush BBQ sauce liberally over the top of each prepared skewer
  5. Chicken skewers can be cooked in the oven or grilled.

For oven preparation: Preheat oven to 350 ℉.  Place chicken skewers on a baking sheet – side with BBQ sauce should remain facing up.  Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes until chicken is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, and bacon is turning crispy.  Brush skewers with BBQ sauce a second time halfway through baking.

For grill preparation: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.  Lightly oil the grill grate.  Grill skewers for about 10 to 12 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, and bacon is turning crispy.  Turn skewers during grilling.  Brush skewers with BBQ sauce a second time halfway through grilling.
